The workshop of V Guardia Creation, is situated in Grand Baie on the island of Mauritius, and employs about twenty people of whom… 19 women and 1 man!

The company began its activities 12 years ago this after Veronique de Guardia created a few collections meant to be sold on a small scale. The success was immediate, and the demand quickly followed: a workshop started its activities with 3 people.

The travels started for the search for original materials that were sometimes very old, Africa became a source of inspiration and for materials, followed by India, China, Sri Lanka, Egypt and many other countries.

Producing precious jewelries for major hotels on the island (The Oberoi, The Royal Palm, The Residence….), Veronique de Guardia also developed accessories’ collections more oriented to the General Public which comprises of tourists and Mauritian. The luxurious range of products was derived from semi-precious stones (amethysts, prehnites, turquoises, agates, lapis lazuli….), from Sterling Silver (ancient and contemporary pendants coming from Yemen, Tamil Nadu, etc…) from Amber and molten glasses (beads used in barter during the 18th and 19th centuries).

Regarding the accessories, they are derived in different themes, namely "Ethnic", "beach", "Mode", "Night" and "Children". Within these themes, we manufacture several product lines, namely: necklaces, bracelets, earrings, belts, sandals and bare feet, bags, gris-gris…

We focus on the use of nacre and shells, wood, coconut, resins, crystal, molten glasses, pearls covered with rockery and weaving etc…
Targeting a wide range of different clientele, our "designs" are unique and always renewed.
We make valuable necklaces for customers who love travel and history, and often, we associate to these products, a spiritual connotation, or even mystical.

The meaning of the stones, their virtues and their use is described in the description of the product itself, and each of our creations is accompanied by a beautiful packaging and a detailed description. Here goes for the workshop.
We also have outlets, a shop in Grand Baie, a stand in Port Louis and a showcase in duty-free at the airport.

The collections are all different. We work with some brands in Europe and our collections appeals by their beauty, their fantasy and their artistic spirit.
